LADIES WEEKEND OUT // RAB // TITLE 9
BACKPACKING PROGRAMS
Ladies Weekend Out is expanding our adventures throughout Yosemite National Park adding a new Backpacking trip to our schedule! Ten Ladies will have the opportunity to join our awesome LWO female guide team for a full weekend focusing on an introduction to backpacking in Yosemite National Park!
Throughout our weekend we’ll go over foundational skills setting the group up for a relaxing 3 days of mellow adventuring around Upper Yosemite Falls. During our trip we’ll have the pleasure of camping for two nights in the Yosemite Wilderness, with opportunities to explore around the upper rim of Yosemite Valley. This area we'll be treated to panoramic views of Lost Arrow Spire, Clouds Rest, Half Dome, and stunning waterfalls.
Ladies Weekend Out Yosemite Falls is 4 days and 3 nights in total and includes a pre-trip meetup and camping the day before, 3 days of guided backpacking and 2 nights camping in Yosemite National Park ‘s wilderness, a Têra Kaia top, and a select amount of Demo backpacking backpacks from our partners at Rab.
Our Ladies Weekend Out events are quickly becoming the go-to, all female climbing and backpacking events to attend! The smaller group size sets the stage for a more intimate weekend where participants get to know one-another and receive more personalized instruction and guidance. The relationships formed from our LWO events is what makes these weekends so special and such a success! We hope to see you out there, it's going to be another memorable Ladies Weekend Out event!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH (PRE TREK MEETUP & CAMPING)
At 4pm, the guests will meet their guides at the backpacker's camp in Yosemite Valley for a orientation and safety briefing. We will kick off the weekend with a potluck, while the guide team assist guests in going through their backpacks, providing a demonstration on what to pack and how to pack efficiently. This will give everyone the opportunity to prepare as much as possible for the upcoming trip the following day.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH
On day 2, our journey begins! We'll caravan together to the Yosemite Creek trailhead in the high country of Yosemite (about an hour drive). Once there, we'll prepare our backpacks and hit the trail to reach our campsite, where we'll stay for two nights.
The trail follows Yosemite Creek, leading us towards the breathtaking Yosemite Falls. Our campsite will be nestled amidst the stunning granite landscape. This day's hike spans around 6 miles, with a gradual climb of 400 feet and a descent of 1000 feet.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH
After breakfast, we'll keep exploring Yosemite's backcountry by hiking along the upper rim towards Eagle Peak. Along the way, we'll be treated to panoramic views of Lost Arrow Spire, Clouds Rest, Half Dome, and stunning waterfalls.
Once we reach Eagle Peak, we'll have the option to continue our adventure by heading to the summit of Yosemite Falls, the highest waterfall in North America, towering 2,425 feet above the valley floor. Afterward, there'll be time to relax and take a dip in the pools before dinner.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH
On our last day, we'll pack up camp, savor a delicious breakfast, and start our journey back to the parking area. Our guides will ensure prepare lunch for everyone, and we will say our goodbyes from here. The total mileage is the same as the first day.
