LADIES WEEKEND OUT STORY
The initial vision of Ladies Weekend Out was discussed over a cup of coffee in San Diego in 2017, with former Tera Kaia co-founder, Lauren Breitenbach. Ladies Weekend Out saw it’s debut rock climbing event the following Spring in San Diego, 2018, and quickly grew to encompass all venues our parent company and service, Golden State Guiding was offering. A need to support our growing community of female climbers was recognized and acted upon and to date, with the help of Golden State Guiding, and our incredible Guide Family, led by Lead Guide and Programs Manager Jessica (JO) Olson, Ladies Weekend Out has become the go-to, all female boutique climbing, backpacking, backcountry skiing and splitboarding event service in California, Nevada, and at times, Colorado. We continue to grow our event offerings while building an all inclusive LWO following which welcomes the community with open arms and smiles.
